“Good Night Austria” on May 24th on ORF 1: EU elections and online shopping among young people

Also a guest at Peter Klien’s satire studio: actor Gregor Seberg

Vienna (OTS) The Greens probably did not expect this enormous media presence in the run-up to the EU elections – and certainly did not want its explosive content. Chats published by the media always raise new questions about top candidate Lena Schilling. “Good Night Austria” will be dedicated to the turbulence in the party on Friday, May 24, 2024, starting at 8 p.m. on ORF ON and at 11:15 p.m. on ORF 1. Peter Klien welcomes Gregor Seberg, who, in his role as the “new press spokesman for the Greens”, explains why the party leadership continues to hold on to its political shooting star.

On June 9th, Austria will elect its future representatives in the EU Parliament. But are the voters mature enough for this election? Or will a “voting license” be introduced in order to acquire the right to vote? Peter Klien wanted to know exactly that and asked the people of Vienna how far their political knowledge actually extends.

Shopping has never been as easy as it is today: you click on the product of your choice online, payment is made automatically via the app and the object of your desire is in the mail. Particularly among young people, connection to their own finances is completely lost; the rude awakening often only comes when the mountain of debt is already overwhelming. In 2023, 22 percent more young people slipped into personal bankruptcy than in the previous year. “Good Night Austria” sheds light on the system behind this frightening development and asks why politicians are so slow to react.
