“Good Night Austria” on March 8th on ORF 1: Salzburg municipal council elections and “Austrians for Trump”

Also a guest in Peter Klien’s studio: Katharina Straßer

Vienna (OTS) Local council elections will take place in Salzburg on Sunday. Things will be particularly exciting in the city of Salzburg: How will the KPÖ+ do here after the surprising result of 21.5 percent in the state elections? “Good Night Austria” takes a look at the city of Mozart on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11:15 p.m. on ORF 1.

The example of Graz, where it has been mayor since 2021, shows that the KPÖ can certainly achieve success. This is a thorn in the side of many people, especially the “Austrians for Trump” initiative. Last weekend in the city center of Graz she urgently pointed out the “communist danger” – “Good Night Austria” was there.

As part of the renovation of the Parliament, the MPs’ seats in the plenary hall were equipped with the possibility of electronic voting. This not only makes decisions easier, but above all more transparent. But here’s the bad news: This modern form of voting is still not being used. Who is resisting this and what is behind the rejection?

Last February was spring-like in large parts of Austria, and the entire winter was also exceptionally warm. Climate change is hitting traditional winter tourism particularly hard. What this means specifically for Tyrol is explained by Katharina Straßer in her role as Monika Hinterschauer, editor-in-chief of the Zillertaler Echo, in an interview with Peter Klien.

“Good Night Austria” will be available tomorrow on the broadcast day from 8 p.m. on on.ORF.at and in the TVthek app.
