Vienna (OTS) – Ö3 editor Dr. Peter Obermüller was awarded the “Golden Medal of Merit of the Republic of Austria” by Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen. It was presented on December 7th. as part of a celebratory ceremony by the Salzburg State Governor Dr. Wilfried Haslauer.
Peter Obermüller has been reporting on regional issues, disaster operations and volunteer work on hit radio Ö3 as the Ö3 Salzburg correspondent for over 25 years. He conducts serious and informative research and is himself on site during operations. In his role, Peter Obermüller is also an important link between radio, television and, in particular, the blue light organizations in the state of Salzburg. In the presence of Ö3 broadcaster Michael Pauser, Peter Obermüller received the “Golden Medal of Merit of the Republic of Austria” from Salzburg Governor Dr. Wilfried Haslauer was presented with it and accepted it on behalf of his colleagues: “It is not just an award for me, but for all colleagues in the ORF editorial team who, with the same dedication and passion, set themselves the goal every day: “To inform the country and to look at where the volunteers of the blue light organizations are sometimes working under life-threatening conditions.”
