For the Cluster Management Excellence Label, Green Tech Valley once again sets the global benchmark among 1,600 audited organizations with 100%. This is unique worldwide.
Graz (OTS) – It’s not just the ski aces fighting for the fastest time, clusters are also trying to enable innovations, cooperation and growth of companies more and more effectively. The “Cluster Management Excellence Label” from VDI/VDE-IT or ESCA European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis is the global standard developed by the EU. The impact achieved, results, leadership, team, collaborations, financing, strategy and services are evaluated. The Green Tech Valley cluster consistently holds the highest “Gold Label”, which so far only 150 of 1,600 audited clusters have received. The highest grade of 100% was only awarded about five times in 13 years. Green Tech Valley is the only cluster globally that has achieved this twice in a row after 2018 with the new Gold Label 2024.
100 percent high mark successfully defended
“This global record for the Green Tech Valley is of course gratifying. At the same time, it is an incentive to achieve new top results for green growth in the south of Austria in the future,” says Bernhard Puttinger, managing director of the cluster, who is involved with all 300 companies, the research institutions, the owners such as the state of Styria, the state of Carinthia and the city of Graz and his thanks to the dedicated team.
“Achieving this high mark for excellent cluster work is very rare and extremely remarkable. “Achieving this again is unique to date,” the auditors note. The final report available online (LINK) provides all the details. The examiners were particularly enthusiastic about the “outstanding results and effects of the activities” e.g. B. in the areas of hydrogen, circular economy and green transformation.
Statements:
Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, State Economic Councilor of Styria:
“The Green Tech Valley Cluster has been one of the absolute world leaders for many years, as the latest result of the Cluster Management Excellence Label once again impressively demonstrates. Local companies and thus Styria as a business and innovation location as a whole benefit from this high quality. The next step lies in the even better networking of Styria’s economic strengths – mobility, green technologies, human technology and microelectronics – but also across federal state borders.”
Helmut Wöginger, VP Global Business Development, ANDRITZ AG:
“The collaboration between the companies in the Green Tech Valley works: At ANDRITZ, as the world market leader, this results in innovations for the climate change such as green hydrogen, CO2 capture and textile recycling.”
