Anna Szalay gave the Salzburg Residence Gallery 12 objects of the artist Anton Einsle to honor the artistic heritage of her late husband Roman Szalay, who was a direct descendant of the artist. This gift represents a significant enrichment of the collection, since Einsle was not yet represented.
The works were extensively restored before the exhibition, financed by the state of Salzburg. Two paintings can be seen in the current “Selected Works” inventory by May 12, 2025, four other paintings will be in the special exhibition “Face to Face from June 6, 2025. Austrian portrait painting of the 19th century ”.
