Gerlinde Layr-Gizycki is an expert in finance, communication, leadership, ESG and business development. She succeeds Stefan Grampelhuber, who will dedicate himself to a new professional challenge in the area of Diversity & Inclusion in autumn 2024. Grampelhuber has held the role since July 2021 and was significantly involved in the further development of the Austrian Communications Day into one of the association’s flagship events, the realignment of the PR State Prize and the introduction of the PRVA initiative to promote diversity in the Austrian communications industry.
Gerlinde Layr-Gizycki brings extensive experience in Austrian and international companies. She has held various management positions at home and abroad, including as partner of the US group AMVESCAP PLC, as managing director of the Austrian branch of the international private bank LGT and as a consultant at Auditor Treuhand and Arthur Andersen. She is also the founder of the INAMERA & WU EA Cross Mentoring & Executive Development Program, which supports managers and experts in their professional development. As co-founder and long-time chairwoman of the Zukunft.Frauen Netzwerk, she brings nine years of experience in club management. In May 2023, she took over management of the PRVA’s Scientific Senate and is therefore already very familiar with the association’s business. Layr-Gizycki will continue to pursue this role alongside her new duties as Secretary General. She is also an active member of the supervisory board.
Ingrid Gogl, President of the PRVA, about the change in leadership: “With Gerlinde Layr-Gizycki we are gaining an experienced personality with proven leadership experience, broad professional expertise and a lot of commitment, who already knows the association very well through her work for the Scientific Senate. I am convinced that she will represent and further develop the PRVA well with her extensive know-how together with the board. On behalf of the PRVA, I would like to thank Stefan Grampelhuber for his commitment and commitment and wish him all the best for his new professional future.”
Gerlinde Layr-Gizycki adds: “Maintaining trustworthy networks has been a central passion for me for many years. The PRVA, its members and partners represent an industry that uses its communication know-how to create trust with its stakeholders and networks. I look forward to actively shaping the future of public relations together with the PRVA board and our team and actively and enthusiastically representing the interests of our members. I can also contribute my diverse experience in organization, finance and associations. With my strengths in strategic communication, team leadership and innovation management, I will work to further advance the PRVA and provide new impetus. I would like to thank my predecessor Stefan Grampelhuber for the work he has done, which I will now build on.”
