Vienna (OTS) – The year 2023 was of manageable beauty worldwide – so at the end of the year we need a lot of good energy and, above all, the different approaches to the Austrian cabaret scene in order to exhale together in 2023. “No more funny – The satirical annual review of 2023” will take a humorous look in the rearview mirror on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1. Gerald Fleischhacker leads the evening and welcomes a squad of the country’s most popular cabaret artists: Gery Seidl, “The Kernölamazons” Caroline Athanasiadis and Gudrun Nikodem-Eichenhardt, Alex Kristan, Malarina, Klaus Eckel, Clemens Maria Schreiner, Kristina Sprenger, Gernot Kulis and Daniel Sattler think about what happened in 2023 and say goodbye to the past year appropriately – with a friendly:

Gery Seidl, as usual, takes a pointed approach to Austrian domestic politics.

Alex Kristan slips into his alter ego and, as Hans Krankl, explains what happened in foreign policy matters in 2023.
And at the crowning conclusion, Gernot Kulis, as Chancellor Schmähhammer, gives one of his unforgettable speeches to the nation. Unfortunately, he is not completely undisturbed because ex-Chancellor Kurz – portrayed by Daniel Sattler – is constantly messing with his work and speech.
The icing on the cake is Kristina Sprenger’s guest appearance in a sketch that shows how things can turn out if you trust too much in artificial intelligence.
The concentrated cabaret intelligence puts what happened into perspective, emphasizes that it could always have been worse, and presents solutions. There will be a shortage of teachers in classrooms in 2023 – problem identified, problem solved! So you can look back on this damned year with a smile and say with conviction: Now the fun is over!
