GCL SI presents new SiRo innovation at Intersolar Europe 2024

München (ots/PRNewswire) GCL System Integration Technology Co, Ltd. (“GCL SI” or “the Company”), a leading one-stop provider of renewable energy solutions, will be exhibiting at Intersolar Europe, May 19-21 in Munich, the leading trade fair for the global solar industry , debuts SiRo, the company’s latest innovation in the PV sector, which includes the world’s first groundbreaking carbon tracking mechanism across the entire value chain: the GCL Carbon Data Platform.

GCL SI will also be showcasing a range of latest solutions at the show, including perovskite modules as well as a range of high-efficiency N-type modules in Europe.

By leveraging cutting-edge blockchain technology and strategic partnerships to create a seamless and transparent carbon platform, GCL SI reduces its carbon footprint and empowers others to do the same.

All modules equipped with the GCL Carbon Data Platform are integrated as SiRo. This solution is designed and developed to track carbon emissions from metallurgical polysilicon production, through polysilicon refining in the Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR), the production steps from ingot to wafer to cell, and finally solar panel assembly. The aim of creating SiRo is to provide customers with more low-carbon options by tracing carbon emissions at each production step and ensuring that the carbon emissions of SiRo modules comply with relevant national standards and requirements.

Each SiRo module would be tagged with a QR code revealing its specific carbon emissions and the report of each production step. The data is protected by blockchain technology to prevent tampering, and this solution provides transparency in preparation for the looming Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) rules.

GCL’s latest perovskite single junction and tandem modules have set a new world record with 19.04% and 26.36% module efficiency, respectively, setting a milestone. The perovskite power generation system will continue to renew the efficiency records to further advance the development of the industry and expand production. In addition, GCL SI introduced five high-efficiency N-type modules that offer a maximum power of 720 Wp with improved performance.

At Intersolar Europe 2024, GCL SI signed a cooperation agreement with EcoTree, a company specializing in sustainable development through innovative investment solutions for tree planting. The two companies will collaborate on strategic planning, communications, research and evaluation to ensure effective protection of biodiversity and forest conservation.
