“Funtime on Friday”: “What’s new?” with new addition “Dr. Bohl”, “Good Night Austria” between Austrian politics and Trump

From 10:20 p.m. on ORF 1

Vienna (OTS) After a men’s FIS Ski World Cup giant slalom in Aspen (live from 8:50 p.m.) that will hopefully be enjoyable for Austria, there will definitely be cause for tears of joy or, better yet, tears of laughter in the delayed “Funtime am Freitag” on ORF 1 from 10:20 p.m. First of all, “What’s new?” welcomes you with Paulus from the funny comedy brother duo “Dr. Bohl” refreshing new addition to Oliver Baier’s guessing round, then Peter Klien fires off another political fireworks display in a new edition of the late-night satire “Gute Nacht Österreich”.

“What’s new?” (10:20 p.m.)

Yes, yes, now we’re clapping our hands again! On “Hand Day” Oliver Baier welcomes Paulus from “Dr. Bohl” in his comedy advice team. He dressed up for the special evening and impressed with his humor and fearlessness. Together with Omar Sarsam, Ulrike Beimpold, Lydia Prenner-Kasper and Viktor Gernot, he gets to the bottom of the meaning of the “Anger Hand”, ponders over “Bible dents” and, appropriately, despairs over the strange “thing of the week”. This time the celebrity question is asked by Tricky Niki and his dragon Emil. They want to know what the “21 second rule” is all about.

“Goodnight Austria” (11:10 p.m.)

Where are the Greens? And where will her path lead her? Peter Klien addresses these questions directly at the Federal Green Party Congress in Graz and presents an interesting result.
“Good Night Austria” is also dedicated to a rather unknown chapter in the career of Donald Trump, who is increasingly emerging as the Republican candidate for the upcoming presidential elections in the USA: What are his connections to Russia? And what contacts did he have with the mafia there?
“Gute Nacht Österreich” reporter Walter Plantl, alias Bernhard Murg, knows what the situation is currently with the SPÖ and its former party leader, Pamela Rendi-Wagner. He reports live from the party headquarters on Löwelstrasse in Vienna.
Other topics on the show include the verdict in the trial against Sebastian Kurz and the release of 84-year-old Herbert Fritz from Taliban custody in Afghanistan.
