This summer, the Life Lounge summer tour was again on tour through Vienna’s outdoor pools in July. Included in your luggage: numerous hands-on stations on the topics of nutrition, exercise and mental health. Whether it was balance or breathing exercises, measuring blood pressure, guessing smells, kicking around in micro soccer or sugar quiz knowledge tests – it was all on offer on the Life Lounge summer tour. “Vienna’s young people in particular are the focus this year as part of our WiG focus on ‘Healthy Youth’. In the summer, they often spend their free time in the outdoor pool, which is why our trained Life Lounge team was there and was able to reach many young bathers with a playful program,” says Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna Health Promotion – WiG, about the around 2,000 visitors* inside during this year’s Life Lounge summer tour.
In addition to the micro soccer, the quiz wheel was once again a highlight for young and old. Anyone who correctly answered a question about nutrition, exercise or mental health could look forward to a health-promoting gift. The bathers in the Simmeringer Bad, Lido Angeli- and Schafbergbad as well as in the Gänsehäufel tried out many hands-on stations and were also able to pick up tips for their own well-being. Those who preferred to be creative could let their thoughts run free at the “Post for the Soul” station and write a postcard to themselves or someone else.
