Vienna Health Promotion – WiG is launching its “Voll OK” campaign, which is dedicated to the 2024 annual focus “Healthy Youth”. “Youth is a phase full of changes and challenges. In order to master this successfully, a solid foundation of physical and mental health is essential. The campaign is intended to appeal to young people in a humorous way and show them how important healthy exercise, a balanced diet and psychological balance are,” explain Peter Hacker, City Councilor for Social Affairs, Health and Sport and Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna Health Promotion – WiG.
“The city of Vienna is doing a lot to improve the quality of life of the young generation and promote their health. “I am all the more pleased if the campaign can make a positive contribution to this,” emphasizes City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker. The central message of the WiG annual campaign is that a healthy lifestyle has a positive effect on the body and the soul: exercise improves your mood, eating a balanced and colorful diet is good for your own well-being and a “well-groomed” soul strengthens your self-esteem. The Vienna Health Promotion – WiG has developed special projects for young people, such as the “City Challenge”, “I am good enough”, “Cycling and Scootering”, “I am beautiful”, the “Youth Health Conference” and “Sex in the City”. The self-help support center SUS Vienna and the hotline for eating disorders are also located in the WiG. The SUS Vienna offers support in the area of self-help according to the motto “Talking about it helps!”, while the hotline for eating disorders is an anonymous and free advice center for those affected, relatives and experts. “With our activities, we specifically address the needs of the young generation and help to increase their quality of life and well-being,” says WiG Managing Director Dennis Beck.
Totally OK
Through print, digital displays and social media, the campaign conveys a positive mood and motivates people to live a healthy lifestyle using three expressive motifs:
Exercising to recharge
Emphasizes that exercise not only improves physical fitness, but also improves mood and reduces stress. Regular exercise is good both physically and mentally.
Healthy mix
Shows how diverse and enjoyable a balanced diet can be. Fresh, regional food is good for the body – and also for the climate. With a varied diet you can also treat yourself to treats every now and then.
corners and edges
Emphasizes the importance of a healthy soul and strong self-esteem for a happy growing up. It is particularly important when you are young to take care of your own mental health.
