The “Vienna Care Day” organized by the Vienna Social Fund (FSW) brought care and support into the public spotlight over two days
Vienna (OTS) – Passers-by, school classes and people in Vienna found answers to questions about care on June 13th and 14th, 2024 at the Human Rights Square in the 7th district. The FSW organized the “Vienna Care Day” there for the fifth time, making care and support services as well as training and job opportunities visible and tangible. City Councilor for Social Affairs Peter Hacker, FSW Managing Director Susanne Winkler and Sabine Hofer-Gruber, Senior Representative for the City of Vienna, opened the event.
„In Vienna no one is left alone. The City of Vienna, the Vienna Social Fund and its partner organizations ensure this. On the one hand, this concerns care and support services, but on the other hand, we are working together to make many adjustments to get people interested in nursing professions and to make their access to training places and the time during the training itself as low-threshold as possible. Vienna Care Day is important to create more awareness of the valuable work people do and the services in care and support

Information and advice with entertainment value
In addition to information and advice, there was also an entertaining supporting program over two days. Particular highlights were the dance and drum performances by the pensioners’ clubs for the city of Vienna, guided exercise groups by the FSW day centers and an old age suit from the Vienna social services.

ÜAbout care and support in the FSW
In Vienna, everyone receives the support they need through the Vienna Social Fund. Viennese people receive the best possible care and support through the FSW, regardless of their income. Depending on the need, with care and support at home, day care or residential and care services for people who can no longer live alone at home.
In the area of care and support, the FSW works with 52 partner organizations and creates offers for over 56,000 customers every year.
