St. Pölten (OTS) – Ice cream and cooling desserts simply cannot be missed in summer. “Land and People” visits the organic hay milk region of Salzburg’s Flachgau region for recipe tips. On average, every Austrian eats around 64 scoops of ice cream a year. The quality of the milk also matters. In Salzburg’s Flachgau, organic hay milk gives the creations their special taste. Organic farmers in the region have come together to market their products together. Hay milk is also the basis for the cool milk desserts from the Rosenstatter family from the Schiessentobel organic farm in Seeham. For our section “Brilliantly cooked – sustainably supplied” she conjures up delicious, homemade vanilla ice cream as well as a creamy strawberry shake or an organic hay milk semolina flammery. Enjoy the hot summer with these recipes!
