120 hours, three moderators, many live music sessions and, above all, countless requests for music in exchange for donations for the “Light into the Dark Emergency Aid Fund” – and thus for families in acute emergencies in Austria! This is back on the program from now on. The Ö3 presenters Philipp Hansa, Tina Ritschl and Sylvia Graf opened the Ö3 Christmas Miracle 2024 today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. The whole country is once again invited to feel the magical atmosphere directly on site and on all Ö3 channels and to become a part of it.
Philipp Hansa: “My oldest friend from Graz said: ‘The Ö3 Christmas miracle is a Christmas tradition without which Christmas cannot take place.’ And beyond that, I think it’s a bit like cuddling up in front of a campfire. Except the campfire is a radio.”
Tina Ritschl: “During the Ö3 Christmas miracle, the solidarity across the country is so noticeable – that touches me every year. Everyone helps together, whether with a small donation, pocket money or a larger amount. Feeling that is incredible and simply magical. That’s what I’m most looking forward to.”
Sylvia Graf: “Based on personal experience, I know that there are families who simply need help. You really underestimate how quickly things can happen – everything can be different from one day to the next. And that’s why it’s so important to help these families. It fills me with pride to be part of the Ö3 Christmas miracle.”
Live music and surprise guests from Thursday (December 19th)
There’s a lot going on in the glass Ö3 studio in Wiener Neustadt: guests from the world of sports, entertainment and business will support the Ö3 Christmas miracle and visit it in Wiener Neustadt. And day 1 of the Ö3 Christmas miracle starts right away with many musical highlights:
“You donate, we send!”
Whether live and directly in front of the Ö3-Wunschhütte or on the radio throughout Austria – from now until December 24th (10:00 a.m.) on Ö3 the motto is again: “You donate, we send!” A donation of any size, small or large, applies to fulfill as many music wishes as possible from Ö3 listeners. These can be donated around the clock on site and at any time online, via SMS or on the donation phone (0800 664 700). The donation money from the Ö3 community is used every day to provide immediate help for families in acute emergencies in Austria via the “Light in the Dark Emergency Aid Fund”.
