At the turn of the year 2025, an important change in the healthcare system has found its way: the transmission of health data by fax is no longer permitted. This decision aims to improve data protection and the security of sensitive information.
The established electronic finding communication represents a contemporary and secure replacement for the fax. It enables medical information to be intercepted quickly and reliably between the various actors in the healthcare system.
A new, particularly practical feature is the CGM mailbox printer, which is made available by the CGM doctor systems Austria in cooperation with its sister company HCS and in coordination with the Austrian Medical Association. This can be free at www.cgm.com/at-postfach-drucker are downloaded and enabled health service providers to hand over any documents to secure finding communication by pressure. This not only eliminates the elaborate paper and shipping process, but communication is also significantly accelerated. Ultimately, this benefits the patients who can now be supplied faster and more efficiently.
In addition, the HCS launched a new version of finding communication – the new C -Box with integrated chat – last year, which, as before, can also exchange data with other findings. Based on the latest technology, it was implemented with the highest security standards to support the current developments in digital health communication and, especially in combination with the CGM mailbox printer, offers a full-fledged alternative to fax delivery.
