The MAK, together with Porsche Holding Salzburg, invites you to visit the museum free of charge. On Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., all current exhibitions can be viewed – including the newly opened large exhibition PECHE POP: Dagobert Peche and his traces in the present – and the extensive showrooms with highlights from all MAK collection areas can be experienced free of charge.
Dagobert Peche (1887-1923), one of the most eccentric designers of Viennese modernism, caused the formal language of the Wiener Werkstätte to explode. The exhibition PECHE POP With around 700 objects, it shows the unmistakable Peche cosmos and the fascinating impact of his work on the design of the 20th and 21st centuries: from the Art Deco style to postmodernism to the present.
The current special exhibitions also await visitors AUT NOW. 100 × Austrian design for the 21st century, ELEMENTS. Adam Štĕch’s look at architectural details, BLOCKCHAIN:UNCHAINED. New Tools for Democracy, 100 BEST POSTERS 23. Germany Austria Switzerland, and the ICONIC AUBÖCK exhibition, which is only open for a few days. A workshop shapes the Austrian concept of design.
From the afternoon onwards, visitors to the museum will be able to enjoy free Punch by Salonplafond in the MAK at the punch mobile in front of the MAK.
