FPÖ – Steger: EU billion-dollar madness is entering the next round! | Freedom Parliamentary Club

Increasing the EU budget for further financial aid to Ukraine endangers Austrian prosperity!

Vienna (OTS) “Despite the tense economic situation and record inflation, the black-green federal government remains fully on course with the Brussels centralists, who are not only gaining more and more powers, but are also increasingly emptying the coffers of the net contributor states. The latest demand for an increase in the EU budget framework by an incredible 66 billion euros is just the tip of the iceberg, because Ukraine has been receiving new billions in gifts for months in order to prolong the war as much as possible,” criticized the FPÖ European spokeswoman and EU candidate NAbg. Petra Steger after yesterday’s EU main committee.

“Instead of standing up against these crazy plans in Brussels, Nehammer and Co. are celebrating them in Austria because the original demand could be reduced somewhat through reallocations. This means that we are fully in line with the EU and are supporting Ukraine, a country that has been consumed by corruption and is now in a position to embezzle our European tax money. The recent fraud report that $40 million was lost under the table in a Ukrainian Defense Ministry arms purchase speaks volumes and confirms our numerous warnings,” said NAbg. Steger continues.

“But the behavior towards Hungary, a sovereign member state that does not simply support Brussels’ left-wing globalist agenda without criticism, is also more than questionable and raises a number of questions. Because if Hungary is put under so much pressure by the EU simply because it does not agree to the billions in payments to Ukraine and is now even considering sanctions and an Article 7 procedure, the question arises as to how many other states are still affected by this method of blackmail are. Austria, with its black-green government, is probably not one of them, as those in government are naive enough to blindly trust the course from Brussels, even without any pressure. Those affected member states will definitely be pushed out of the EU little by little with this exclusion policy,” warned Steger.
