Soil sealing in the Prater landscape protection area is unacceptable
Vienna (OTS) – For FPÖ Leopoldsstadt district party chairman LAbg. Wolfgang Seidl and club leader District Councilor Franz Lindenbauer, the current need to set up container classes in the Apernalle school is a clear sign of the lack of planning and failure of the Vienna city government. “This development shows that the government is unable to correctly assess the need for school classes. The completely misguided immigration policy also contributes to this, in which the SPÖ-governed city extends invitations, but the necessary infrastructure is missing. As a result, students must be accommodated in container classes,”
says Seidl angrily.
For the FPÖ club chairman in the Leopoldsstadt district representation, Franz Lindenbauer, the plans to build concrete foundations in the garden area of a school to set up containers contradict public commitments to more greenery and less sealing. “It is grotesque and completely unacceptable that the city government wants to seal a protected green area while at the same time promising more greenery,” says Lindebauer, summing up his criticism.
For the two liberals, this situation illustrates the urgent need for a reassessment of education and immigration policy in Vienna. “It is essential that the city government takes immediate measures to ensure adequate and environmentally friendly school infrastructure and changes its immigration policy,” conclude Seidl and Lindebauer.
