“It would have been crucial to involve the states as funding providers right from the start. “Unfortunately, the timing of the government’s construction package also came far too late,” criticized Schrangl. “But the arrogance and incompetence of the black-green government unfortunately resulted in a billion-dollar flop instead of an economic stimulus package,” continued Schrangl.
“Affordable housing is possible – as is stimulating the construction industry. You just have to want it. We libertarians have put the relevant concepts on the table: For the time being, we need a federal subsidy for housing subsidies in order to increase this to one percent of GDP. And we have to revive the housing investment bank in order to secure favorable financing lines,” said FPÖ building spokesman NAbg. Philipp Schrangl.
