Vienna (OTS) – According to the Viennese FPÖ leader, Councilor Dominik Nepp, the integration train has long since departed: “Every attempt to integrate asylum seekers has failed, especially in Vienna. The generous cash benefits that the City of Vienna has paid out to asylum seekers and those entitled to subsidiary protection for many years, as well as providing them with cheap municipal housing and showering dubious integration associations with tax subsidies, have ensured that Vienna has become an Eldorado for illegal immigrants . The Vorarlberg ÖVP’s initiative, which ÖVP-Vienna boss Karl Mahrer also supports, to have these people sign a code of conduct would be another toothless instrument in Vienna. We need zero immigration and an end to cash benefits so that we can finally get the immigration problem with all its facets under control. “But both ÖVP Interior Minister Karner and SPÖ Mayor Ludwig persistently refuse to act immediately so that the situation in Vienna can finally ease again.”
