Vienna (OTS) – “As an affront and consequence of the Ludwig SPÖ’s negligent maneuvering around the cityscape-destroying million-dollar project by real estate speculators, the planning spokesman for the Vienna FPÖ LAbg. Toni Mahdalik describes the demand of the building applicant with the best relationships with the comrades, the city of Vienna in its decision regarding of an EIA process. “The Heumarkt project, which is still scandalously oversized, involves a massive intervention in the cityscape, which could even cost Vienna its UNESCO World Heritage status. Since it is not clear in the Federal Administrative Court’s ruling brought forward by the investor which of the two or three projects still submitted the ruling refers to, it is irrelevant for the Vienna FPÖ. We are clearly in favor of an EIA and it would be really nice if Mayor Ludwig would work a little bit with his almost 250,000 euros a year and at least speak out on this essential issue for the future of Vienna,” said Mahdalik.
