FPÖ – Kickl/Amesbauer on terror commemoration: “This terrorist attack must be a warning for the future” | Freedom Parliamentary Club
Vienna (OTS) –

“It is now the fourth anniversary of the Islamist terrorist attack in Vienna. Therefore, for us, today is dedicated to remembering the victims of the vile Islamist attack on November 2, 2020 in downtown Vienna. But this terrorist attack must also be a warning for the future,” emphasized FPÖ federal party chairman Club Chairman NAbg. Herbert Kickl and FPÖ security spokesman NAbg. Hannes Amesbauer.

“Gross errors came to light through the ‘Zerbes report’ and therefore the then ÖVP Interior Minister Nehammer is also politically responsible for this terrorist attack. The threat of terrorism in Austria is greater than ever, and not just because of the Middle East conflict. Even if ÖVP Chancellor Nehammer, ÖVP Interior Minister Karner and Co once again find words of regret today, that is still too little – too little for the victims and their relatives, as well as too little for the Austrian population, who face a permanent threat of terrorism in our country country must live. Islamist terror is the greatest security threat of our time,” said Kickl and Amesbauer and continued. “The fact is that in the last five years the federal government made up of the ÖVP and the Greens has been responsible for more than 240,000 asylum applications. Stabbings, gang wars, Islamism, the threat of terrorism, cultural tensions or the canceled Taylor Swift concerts are now the consequences of this wrong immigration policy from black and green.”

“However, this existing terrorist threat must not be abused to introduce mass surveillance of the Austrian population through the control of messenger services. There are only three effective measures that protect Austria from Islamist terror – that is an immediate stop to illegal mass immigration, that is rigorous deportations and a law prohibiting political Islam so that the breeding ground for terrorism can be removed,” explained Kickl.

“If ÖVP Interior Minister Karner regularly speaks of a decline in asylum applications and thereby downplays the existing problem, then his chosen approach only serves as a kind of advance payment for the ‘Austro-loser traffic light’, which is currently the ÖVP chairman Nehammer and Co. are tinkering with the Babler-SPÖ and another left-wing party. But Austria must again be able to decide for itself who is allowed to come to our country and who is not. “Therefore, among other things, there must finally be real border protection with pushbacks and consistent deportations to Afghanistan and Syria,” demanded the FPÖ security spokesman.
