Angerer and Ofner condemn cowardly and irreverent acts of vandalism – Jörg Haider has always stood up for Carinthia and its own people
Klagenfurt (OTS) – The Carinthian FPÖ boss, club chairman Erwin Angerer and the Carinthian FPÖ general secretary LAbg. Josef Ofner are horrified today by the desecration of the memorial for the late Carinthian governor Jörg Haider. “We are shocked by this desecration of the Haider memorial by suspected left-wing extremist vandals. Apparently certain left-wing forces cannot bury their hatred of Jörg Haider even more than 15 years after his death. We condemn such cowardly and irreverent acts of vandalism in the strongest possible terms,” said Angerer and Ofner, who also referred to the many achievements of the late liberal governor for Carinthia.
“Without Jörg Haider there would be no Koralmbahn, no technology center in Lakeside Park, no Carinthian Music Academy or no Pyramidenkogel observation tower. Jörg Haider has always been fully committed to the positive development of Carinthia and its own population! The anti-democratic forces who are responsible for this destruction of the memorial should also take note of this,” said the FPÖ politicians.
