FPÖ – Hafenecker: “Where is the finished Kreutner report, Minister?” | Freedom Parliamentary Club

Should so much be blacked out here so that the black coalition partner can be brought to safety?

Vienna (OTS) “In the next two to three days” the complete, several hundred page report of the “Kreutner Commission” on political influence in the judiciary will be published. However, nothing has happened since this announcement at Monday’s press conference. “Where is the finished Kreutner report, Minister?” FPÖ General Secretary NAbg asked himself today. Christian Hafenecker and asked another question: “Should there be so much blackening here in order to obscure the ‘deep state’, the ÖVP, to some extent and to bring the Greens’ coalition partner to safety?” Hafenecker also felt that “Ziegler Report” reminds. The work of the then ORF-NÖ editor-in-chief Robert Ziegler with regard to political influence by the ÖVP was also extensively investigated – but the report is still under lock and key to this day. Hafenecker: “In the end, Minister Zadic blackens herself shortly before the election?”

As anti-corruption expert Kreutner explained on Monday, the investigation examined many politically explosive cases from the past. It can be assumed that many of the people appearing in the report are in the public eye and are therefore people of public interest. Naming them is also permitted by law. “This long period of time between announcement and publication also casts a negative light on the Green Minister. What happened to the principles of the party as a combatant of corruption, as a protective force for the WKStA and the rule of law? If the Greens really stand for transparency and against pandering, then Minister Zadic must deliver the final report today – otherwise I get the impression that ‘Green decency’ is once again only on the election posters,” said Hafenecker.

Or the delay has to do with the corresponding pressure from the ÖVP on the Greens. “The ÖVP, as the main party affected by the Kreutner report, will probably pull out every lever within the coalition to achieve the most flattering possible final version, which is full of redactions. In precisely this case, it would be even more important to show the ÖVP the limits and ensure maximum transparency. Or do the blacks have something in their hands against the greens? We do not know it. But one thing is certain: apart from the redactions of content from classified files, nothing may be removed from the report. The public has a right to maximum transparency. It’s best to publish the report today, Minister Zadic!” demanded FPÖ General Secretary NAbg. Christian Hafenecker.
