Abolition of the “compulsory tax” and reform of the ORF towards a streamlined basic radio are more necessary than ever
Vienna (OTS) – “This diction is reminiscent of the aloof mentality of feudal landlords and opens up another deep insight into the intellectual world that prevails in the executive suite at Küniglberg towards the Austrians, who are being mercilessly hit by the new ORF tax hammer in the form of the household tax,” criticized today FPÖ media spokesman and general secretary NAbg. Christian Hafenecker, MA Statements by ORF General Director Weißmann in an interview with the “Kleine Zeitung” about the budget levy such as “They will pay, even if some grumble” and “Penalties are the last resort”. He also referred to the website launched by the FPÖ this week https://www.orf-steuer.helpwhich supports citizens who have a right to exemption from the “ORF compulsory tax” when applying for it as well as when applying for a deferral or payment in installments: “Here too, we freedom people are clearly on the side of the Austrians!”
According to the liberal Secretary General, the “topmost goal” is the abolition without replacement of the “ORF compulsory tax” and a reform of the ORF in the direction of a “streamlined basic radio”: “One-sidedness and paternalism instead of objective reporting, green climate madness propaganda, advertising on a continuous loop, Luxury salaries and privileges are on the agenda at ORF. The fact that the citizens of the black-green coalition are forced to finance all of this from their wallets is absurd. An FPÖ-led federal government with a People’s Chancellor Herbert Kickl would therefore have the end of this ‘compulsory tax’ at the top of its agenda, the Austrians can rely on that!”
