FPÖ – Hafenecker: “ORF payment request to cat from Gerald Grosz proves chaos and incompetence at Küniglberg!” | Freedom Parliamentary Club
Vienna (OTS) –

Today, FPÖ media spokesman and Secretary General NAbg. Christian Hafenecker, MA, explains the fact that Gerald Grosz’s cat received a payment request for the “ORF compulsory tax” including the threat of a wage garnishment: “Someone can simply register anyone with the ORF contribution service GmbH (OBS) and they will then receive it a request for payment without this registration being checked beforehand. The fact that the ORF discovered a ‘compulsory tax hole’ just a few months ago and miscalculated 180,000 households and thus around 33 million euros in income is not surprising given such amateurism and shows one thing clearly: this ‘compulsory tax’ should be abolished without replacement and belong to the ORF reformed from the ground up!”

The OBS obtains, among other things, its data from the central register of residents and is apparently unable to compare online registrations with it, which makes their ability to handle this highly sensitive registration data responsibly appear to be questionable overall. “For public broadcasting, which has a lavish budget of around one billion euros annually, largely financed by the ‘compulsory tax’, which pays luxury fees and is brimming with privileges, this is a very sad indictment,” said Hafenecker .
