FPÖ strongly condemns vandal attack
Vienna (OTS) – Today, FPÖ General Secretary NAbg condemned in the strongest possible terms. Christian Hafenecker, MA, the desecration of the memorial for the late Carinthian Governor Jörg Haider in Lambichl. “It is probably no coincidence that left-wing extremists allegedly caused this devastation in SPÖ-governed Carinthia on today of all days and that SPÖ leader Babler, in complete ignorance of history, used his February commemoration for brazen attacks against the FPÖ – because it is precisely this that arises from dogmatic Marxism Intolerance towards those who think differently politically, which creates a climate from which exactly such vandal attacks arise!”
The fact that, more than fifteen years after his death, certain extremist forces still cannot come to terms with their hatred of Jörg Haider shows “the particularly deep lack of piety” of the perpetrators. “Beyond his tragic death, Jörg Haider is an enemy to them because he was a popular and therefore successful liberal politician who made great contributions to Austria and especially to Carinthia. Likewise, the current increasing popularity of the FPÖ with Herbert Kickl at the helm, which can be traced back to the consistent solidarity with its own population, is also a thorn in the side of these forces. Therefore, these left-wing circles want to push politically dissidents into the ‘extremist corner’, delegitimize completely permissible and ‘normal’ opinions in the interests of freedom of expression and prevent the necessary political restart for our homeland in order to maintain their own power. This strategy has been known for decades in view of impending liberal electoral successes and has long been seen through by citizens,” said Hafenecker.
