ÖVP brought the Greens into government, caused record inflation with the wrong policies and at the same time is primarily responsible for all the waves of pressure that drive up prices
Vienna (OTS) – FPÖ social spokeswoman NAbg today described it as a “lapse into political schizophrenia”. Dr. Dagmar Belakowitsch Statements by WKO General Secretary and ÖVP National Council member Kopf, in which he identified the Greens’ ideology-driven politics as the sole cause of the extremely high energy prices: “After ÖVP Economic Association President Mahrer, Kopf is now also trying to play the Austrians for fools . Because as a member of the ÖVP National Council, he agreed to all black-green price gouging, from the senseless CO2 tax to the sanctions regime that fueled energy prices, and rejected all liberal initiatives for real relief. Last but not least, it was the ÖVP that brought the eco-communist Greens into the federal government in the first place!”
In numerous interviews, speeches and press releases, the WKO General Secretary and ÖVP MP “really raved” about the “eco-social tax reform,” which, among other things, introduced the CO2 tax in times of record inflation, and “wrote hymns of praise for the… “Truth has been sung to the maximum in the form of alms by government measures against the madness of energy prices.” “When it comes to making life more and more unaffordable for Austrians, ruining prosperity and driving more and more people into poverty, there is no fit between the ÖVP and the Greens – they are the number one inflation drivers! The citizens know this very well and will therefore not be deceived by the ÖVP’s politically schizophrenic child abandonment actions,” said Belakowitsch.
The “strongest means in the fight against inflation and price increases” is therefore the vote out of this unfortunate black-green federal government, which the Austrians would make use of in the National Council elections this year: “The population is fed up with a federal government in the truest sense of the word governed in such an ice-cold manner against their interests, letting one avalanche of costs roll over them after another and ultimately mocking them, as the ÖVP is now blatantly doing. A political course is therefore needed for an FPÖ-led federal government with an People’s Chancellor Herbert Kickl, which will guarantee Austrians an affordable life and social security again!”
