The former Member of the National Council and member of the Federal Council Johannes Hübner died at the age of 68. He began his political career in 1986 as a Freedom District Council in Vienna-Wieden. In 2008 the experienced lawyer moved to the National Council for the FPÖ, where he worked as a spokesman for foreign policy, Europe and development cooperation until 2017. From 2020 to 2023 he was a member of the Federal Council sent by the Vienna Landtag.
Parliament tips emphasize Hübner’s commitment to the concerns of the citizens
National Council President Walter Rosenkranz particularly recognizes Hübner’s commitment and expertise: “With great grief I learned from the death of our former colleague Dr. Johannes Hübner. Dr. Hübner was a member of the National Council from 2008 to 2017 and from 2020 to 2023. Work and his commitment to the concerns of the citizens will always be remembered as a doctorate.
The President of the Federal Council, Andrea Eder-Gitschthaler, is also affected by the death of Johannes Hübner: “I was able to work with him actively in the Federal Council and have followed his work in the committees and his speeches with interest.
