Top police athlete Cornelia Hütter raced to second place at the World Cup Super-G on December 8, 2023
Vienna (OTS) – Top police athlete Cornelia Hütter is happy about another podium place in the Ski World Cup: The Styrian speed specialist only had to give way to the Italian Sofia Goggia in the Super-G in St. Moritz (Switzerland) on December 8, 2023. The Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami came third. With this second place, Hütter achieved the first podium finish for a top police athlete in the still young 2023/24 Ski World Cup season.
“I am very happy for Cornelia Hütter and warmly congratulate her on this achievement,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner. This success shows that sport has a special importance for the police. “Our athletes are role models and figureheads for the Austrian police,” added Karner. Hütter has been in the top sports squad of the Federal Ministry of the Interior since 2017 and does her duty away from the piste at the Carinthia State Police Directorate.

Top-class sport funding in the Ministry of the Interior is structured as a dual funding system and combines sustainable vocational training with the opportunity to practice sport professionally.
