Hotel and tourism companies can select the right employees from a large pool of qualified specialists
Vienna (OTS) –
Find suitable specialists quickly and safely
The dramatic shortage of qualified employees will continue to worsen in the next few years and is putting hotel and tourism businesses under increasing pressure.
According to Richard Bauer, author of “Finding and retaining skilled workers” (Lindeverlag). In Austria and throughout the EU, the market for qualified workers has been emptied and there will be a shortage of employees, particularly in tourism. In order for the tourism industry to continue to offer its offerings with the proven quality, new labor markets outside the EU must be opened up.
A proven system for recruiting in third countries can now be used by tourism companies
From now on, tourism companies can use a system that has proven itself over many years to save time and money when searching for personnel and to employ professionally trained employees on a long-term basis. This initiative is based on the experiences of companies in the healthcare industry that have already successfully recruited qualified employees from third countries with this program, says Stefan Bergmann, Managing Director of IStaRT Germany
. For tourism, collaborations have been concluded with state-recognized, highly qualified training centers in Serbia, Tunisia, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. The training is comparable to hotel management schools; the graduates have a state-recognized diploma, have language skills and have professional experience in top-category resort hotels. The basis is the secured model of the red-white-red card.
Professional support for hotel and tourism businesses
The company submits its job descriptions and the number of employees to be employed (at least for 24 months). Qualified specialists are then sought and all requirements are checked (qualifications, language, integrity). The company receives the checked CVs, conducts interviews, selects the employees and can arrange in-depth training (special knowledge, language) if desired. After the employment contract has been concluded, the formal aspects for the red-white-red card are prepared. After 2-3 months, the new employee travels to the employer. The entire process is supported by highly professional and recognized local agencies.
Requirements for tourism operations
Requirements for tourism businesses are: a year-round position, a good social and professional introduction to the team and accommodation for employees (at least in the first few months).
