finanzrechner.at: What does the Austrian plan bring to the ÖVP?

finanzrechner.at has looked at the ÖVP’s tax reform plans and makes them transparent.

We will look at each party’s future tax reform proposals and expand the new tool on finanzrechner.at so that the plans can be directly compared. Then every employee, working and employed person can calculate what a planned tax reform idea actually means for him or her and how much savings would be.

Project manager Bernhard Angeler from finanzrechner.at

Vienna (OTS) 5 million Austrians are set to benefit from the ÖVP’s tax reform plans. The working middle class of society should be relieved. But does the Austria plan presented by Chancellor Karl Nehammer deliver what it promises?

Finanzrechner.at looked at the ÖVP’s tax reform ideas and developed a tool that is now available https://finanzrechner.at/steuerreform is online. With this, Mr. and Mrs. Austrians can calculate how much more they will actually have left in their wallet if implemented.

The ÖVP is proposing a reduction in the input tax rate from 20 to 15 percent in order to ease the burden on taxpayers and make employment more attractive. At the same time, pensioners and people with lower incomes should also benefit from this measure.

According to project manager Bernhard Angeler from the web development company BAWS, employees and workers with a gross monthly income of 1,500 euros or more would actually have more left over: for example, with a gross monthly income of 2,100 euros, you would save a whole 400 euros a year. Those who currently contribute the largest share of tax revenue with a tax rate of 48 percent could also be happy: this would be reduced to 40 percent and effective from an income of around 6,600 euros gross.

Angeler: „We will look at each party’s future tax reform proposals and expand the new tool on finanzrechner.at so that the plans can be directly compared. Then every employee, working and employed person can calculate what a planned tax reform idea actually means for him or her and how much savings would be.“With this free tool, Angeler would like to contribute to greater transparency in a complex subject area.
