“Minister of Health Schumann says one thing, the reality is different. While she again emphasizes how important the government is the mental health of children and adolescents and a continuation of the program ‘Healthy from the crisis’, those affected have been looking for help since June 2025,” criticizes the Green Health Spokesman Ralph Schallmeiner in the press hour.
“There have been no treatment places and no capacities for months. Minister Schumann should finally act instead of just promising. Children and adolescents across the country have nothing of mere announcements,” continued Schallmeiner.
“Healthy from the crisis” is an important and sensible initiative to enable children and adolescents to be as low as possible psychosocial care across Austria without long waiting times. However, despite multiple announcements of the sequel, no treatment places have been available since June 17, 2025. Those affected have been abandoned for over three months – a procedure that the Greens have already criticized.
