In November 2024, everything in Vienna will revolve around the health of girls and women. With the “Feminine. 30 Days of Women’s Health” For the first time, an entire month is dedicated to promoting health and strengthening women’s health literacy. In collaboration with various institutions and experts from a wide range of disciplines, the Feminale offers a comprehensive and, above all, varied program every day from November 1st to 30th.
Diverse program – from A for obesity to Z for dental health
The thematic spectrum of Feminale ranges from nutrition and exercise to mental health, sexual violence and ideals of beauty. The focus is on areas such as breast health, diabetes, menopause, maternal health, early pregnancy loss and mental health. Women of all ages will find the right offers at Feminale ABC to promote their health and receive individual advice.
Particularly noteworthy is this Health Street on Monday, November 25th, in the Vienna City Hall. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., girls and women can receive health checks such as pulmonary function tests, resting ECGs, vitamin D tests and HIV tests. Vaccinations against corona, flu and HPV are also offered free of charge. Thematic islands on nutrition, mental health, love and sexuality, pregnancy and violence prevention also offer personal advice from experts.
Kristina Hametner, the head of the Vienna Program for Women’s Health, invites all girls and women to take part in the Feminale: “Look forward to a month of events dedicated to girls’ and women’s health. With offers for young and old and everything in between. Offers that are fun, informative, and encourage exercise. And strengthen your health. I’m really excited about this incredibly diverse program. We set it up together with many institutions in Vienna.”
A moving month
From health checks, lectures, advice, a variety of hands-on offers to actions such as the barrier-free exhibition module #TogetherAgainstViolence, which will be on display in Vienna City Hall as part of the 16 Days Against Violence – the Feminale sets a strong example for health and the well-being of girls and women.
