The Federal Criminal Police Office (BK) and PSA Payment Services Austria GmbH (PSA) continue your successful cooperation in the field of cyber criminal prevention. Both partners signed a memorandum of understanding that officially extends the existing cooperation. This collaboration is a crucial step to strengthen digital security in Austria sustainably and better protect citizens from online threats.
A central component of the cooperation is the continuation of the “platform against phishing”. Phishing denotes a fraud method in which cybercriminals try to steal personal data such as passwords or credit card information via fake emails, websites or messages. As part of the signing, Thomas von der Gathen, an experienced PSA expert, was awarded for his long-term, committed work in training and further education as well as his close cooperation with the BK in the field of cyber prevention.
