The People’s Party’s election campaign began this Saturday in Vienna’s Steffl Arena, accompanied by the top team, all sub-organizations and over a thousand officials from Lower Austria. State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner also clearly supported Chancellor Karl Nehammer on behalf of the People’s Party of Lower Austria at the start of the election campaign and emphasized: “We are facing a decision in Austria. On September 29th it will be about whether we entrust our country to a right-wing extremist, a left-wing Marxist or the power of the center with Chancellor Karl Nehammer. The biggest difference between Karl Nehammer and his direct competitor is: He not only knows the concerns of our compatriots, he is also able to find the right answers and solutions. Regardless of whether it is in the fight against illegal migration, in the fight for our service providers and families – problem descriptions are not enough, common sense solutions are needed and these are what Karl Nehammer offers with his Austria plan. A look at the ballot paper makes it clear: only the People’s Party credibly supports the middle path. We as the People’s Party of Lower Austria will run for these values in the coming weeks, so that the next Chancellor will be called Karl Nehammer again.”
