Family alliance: Caught between income gap and role models?

What fathers want – results of the online survey

Vienna/St.Pölten (OTS) The Austrian Family Association continually sets an example for strengthening fathers in family work. In order to keep up with the times, we keep asking fathers what the state of things is.

The results of the Austria-wide online survey 2023 will be presented as part of this press conference. 668 fathers took part in the survey.

The following wishes from fathers are at the top of the results:

• Spending (more) time with the child/children
• Diversity in child care
• Fewer disadvantages when taking paternity leave
• Closing the income gap as a prerequisite for an equal division of family tasks
• Support with being a dad through a breakup

Press conference with President NR Mag.a Johanna Jachs

During the press conference you will receive further insights into our survey and we will report on the demands that arise from it.
