From March 10th to 13th, the Chamber of Commerce will take place throughout Austria. At the press breakfast, you have the opportunity to speak to SWV President and President of the Chamber of Commerce, Christoph Matznettter, about important demands for entrepreneurs: inside.

The reality for most self -employed looks different than it is often shown. While large companies benefit from tax privileges and stable structures, one-person companies (EPU) and small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) are fighting with high taxes and lack of social security. This inequality threatens existences and makes economic planning a challenge.

Why are the self -employed socially worse?

• Self -treatment of 20 %, which in practice often cause high costs
• No sick pay in the first few weeks of a disease
• Missing financial security in maternity protection
• Bureaucratic hurdles for the self -employed who urgently need support

SWV demands for a fairer system:

• Sick pay for the self -employed from the 4th day of the sick – Not only after weeks!
• Without replacement of the deductible
• Automatic suspension of SVS contributions in maternity protection
• Improvement of unemployment insurance for the self -employed
