With a new concert series, the House of Strauss ties in with the tradition of Johann Straus’s father’s historical performances. A unique experience at an original location in Viennese music history.
The historic Casino Zögeritz, opened by Johann Straus’s father in 1837, is now home to the House of Strauss – a comprehensive homage to the glamorous history of the Strauss family. The listed concert hall is considered the world’s last original concert hall, in which all four members of the Strauss dynasty-Johann Vater, Johann Sohn, Josef and Eduard Strauss-performed personally.
Only two Biedermeier concert halls still exist in Vienna today. One of them was carefully restored by Hermann Rauter, owner and creative initiator of the project, in cooperation with the Federal Monument Office and made open to the public again.
As part of the bustling year 2025, the House of Strauss currently recorded over 160 concert dates – an impressive sign of the great international interest in this special place.

Program:
From 6:00 p.m.-visit to the interactive exhibition in the Strauss Museum including use of the audio guides (headphones required)
8:00 p.m. – champagne reception in the elegant octagon
8:30 p.m.-Live concert with the House of Strauss Orchestra in the historic Strauss Hall
The concert is accompanied by an impressive visual staging and a light show and makes the evening a real masterpiece of the senses.
