CGTN America & CCTV UN published “Echoes of Peace” event on the 80th anniversary of the end of the war.
The cultural exchange event “Echoes of Peace” in New York City presents delegations from all over the world, veterans and unique multimedia experiences to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the World War II and the establishment of the United Nations. The event, which is to take place on August 13th at 8:00 p.m. ET in the UN Headquarters, aims to honor the heroes, think about their resistance and to reaffirm the principles of peace that have been leading the international community for eight decades.
Delegations from around 30 countries, including officials from the United Nations, representatives of veterans of the Second World War and diplomats, will take part in the event for cultural exchange.
The program includes fundamental departments of prominent personalities from China, the USA and the United Nations. The musicians become “Tennessee” from the film Pearl Harbor Play that captures the bittersweet essence of love in the shadow of war. You will also present “Flowers of Peace”, a tribute to the hope and the triumph about the accident.
An impressive card projection will be shown on the side wall of the secretarial building. The projection will visually trace the path of the world to peace and to found the United Nations. The UN headquarters in New York City was officially inaugurated on January 9, 1951. The iconic secretarial building was completed in 1950. These buildings embody the common vision of the international community of the post -war period of peace and cooperation, which is based on the ideals of the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The cultural exchange event “Echoes of Peace” presented by the China Media Group underlines the persistent importance of the United Nations for promoting global peace and cooperation.
