Kaleen sings with starting number 6 for the finals

Vienna (OTS) Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Finland, Cyprus, Croatia, Ireland and Luxembourg – these ten countries qualified yesterday evening, May 7th, 2024, for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, May 11th. Tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th, the second semifinal can be seen live on ORF 1 from 9 p.m. 16 countries – including Austria with start number 6 – are in the race for one of ten additional tickets for the grand finale. Viewers in Austria can cast their vote on 0901 050 25 and the attached two-digit start number (50 cents per call or SMS). You cannot vote for Austria’s artist Kaleen. “Mr. Song Contest” Andi Knoll, who will start the ESC evening on ORF 1 at 8:15 p.m. with the second part of “Mr. Song Contest proudly presents” opens.

ORF program director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz: “Three minutes of full power – Kaleen has worked hard for this moment and I am sure that she will deliver a good show tomorrow. I keep my fingers crossed for her and hope she can enjoy her performance too.”

Kaleen’s stage outfit and SWAROVSKI crystal pyramid

Kaleen: “We tried out two great outfits in rehearsals. It wasn’t an easy decision, but in the end it became the lighter look, which simply stands out better in the dark stage set.” Her outfit for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö consists of two parts. First, a white faux leather coat with wide, genuine leather straps and rose gold buckles, designed by the Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder. This coat gives Kaleen a powerful yet glamorous presence on stage. Under the coat she wears a silver metallic bodysuit, which is designed in three parts and together forms a unified ensemble. Each element seamlessly emphasizes her movements and reflects the stage lights. Transparent cuts on the arms, stomach and back of the costume create a visual effect that makes the costume appear like an extension of her body. The costume is made from four different materials and is also decorated with a variety of SWAROVSKI crystals that add extra sparkle. The costume and the matching metallic-colored boots took almost three weeks to make and were designed by US-based designer Stefan Orlić.

A pyramid hovers above Kaleen with the top pointing downwards. It symbolizes female energy and strength and also represents the element of water. After days of handwork, thousands of SWAROVSKI crystals were applied to the 3×3 meter steel construction, which, in the laser and spotlight light, make the stage shine with sparkling splendor and create a fascinating atmosphere.
