EU election, June 9, 2024: Müller Transporte shows the flag for Europe!

Our truck trains are seen by thousands of people across Austria and Europe every day. Away from any party politics, we want to use them and the slogan ‘Yes to Europe’ to point out the great importance of the European elections. We invite everyone to use their right to vote on June 9th and say ‘Yes!’ to say to a common Europe!

Fritz Müller, Managing Director of Müller Transporte

Vienna (OTS) Müller Transporte, one of Austria’s leading transport companies, is setting an example for democracy and international understanding in Europe: With truck trains in a European design, the internationally active logistics company from Wiener Neudorf (Lower Austria) is calling for participation in the European elections and for more European friendliness of Austria.

Wiener Neudorf, May 27, 2024 – The 2024 European elections will take place on June 9, which will determine the members of the European Parliament and thus also the 20 Austrian MPs who will help shape the future of Europe in Brussels and Strasbourg. All Austrians who have reached the age of 16 on the day of the election and all Union citizens with their main residence in Austria are entitled to vote with us on this day.

Although the importance of the European Parliament has increased significantly in recent years, voter turnout in European elections in this country is often quite low (2009: 46%, 2014: 45.4%, 2019: 59.8%). Euroscepticism is particularly high in Austria, even though Austria and its economy have particularly benefited from joining the EU in many areas.

The personal freedom of travel and settlement for EU citizens within the Union is just as important as the free movement of goods. This is crucial for the security of supply for our population and for the availability of fresh goods in all areas of life.

The internationally active transport company Müller Transporte, based in Wiener Neudorf (Lower Austria), has therefore decided not only to literally fly the flag for Europe. The logistics company, which specializes in temperature-controlled transport – fruit, vegetables and other fresh produce and food – has now given five of its truck trains their own European design on their own initiative.

Fritz Müller, Managing Director of Müller Transporte: “Our truck trains are seen by thousands of people across Austria and Europe every day. Away from any party politics, we want to use them and the slogan ‘Yes to Europe’ to point out the great importance of the European elections. We invite everyone to use their right to vote on June 9th and say ‘Yes!’ to say to a common Europe!”
