The contract, worth around EUR 6 million, underlines the group’s commitment to sustainable environmental management and positions the company at the forefront of environmental remediation service providers. Under the contract, Wolftank Group will provide comprehensive professional environmental services and on-site activities at the locations of the Italiana Petroli gas station network. The contract covers advice, planning, monitoring, control and testing of the environmental condition at these locations. It also includes direct and indirect environmental investigations, safety assessments and possible remediation measures. The planned activities include civil works, electromechanical and hydraulic works for the installation of equipment, demolition works and waste management during the execution of the contract. This holistic approach ensures that the environmental impact of the infrastructure is minimized and the affected soil is restored to its original, healthy state. The work will be carried out by Petroltecnica, the Italian subsidiary of the Wolftank Group, which acquired a majority stake in autumn 2023. The company specializes in environmental remediation, operates several recycling plants and has a strong market position in the oil and gas, chemical and industrial sectors in Italy. This order strengthens Wolftank Group’s solid environmental services portfolio. With decades of experience, Wolftank has strong expertise in environmental consulting, remediation and emergency response. The group has successfully completed more than 6,500 soil and groundwater remediation projects, dismantled more than 1,000 aging gas stations and remediated over 2 million square meters of contaminated land. “We are very pleased to be working with Italiana Petroli again on this important project,” says Peter Werth, CEO of the Wolftank Group. “The order not only underlines our expertise in holistic environmental concepts, we also support our customers in their sustainable development. Our approach is based on the principles of circular economy and ensures that our waste management and recycling processes contribute to a healthier environment.” Wolftank Group’s environmental services are characterized by tailored, cost-effective and reliable solutions that comply with regional, national and international regulations. The group’s extensive experience includes more than 3,000 environmental consultations and due diligence reviews, three recycling plants with a capacity of more than 500,000 tons per year and now around 1,300 missions to environmental disasters.
