With regard to dividend continuity and predictability, VIG aims to pay a dividend per share in the future that is at least equal to the previous year and increases continuously depending on the operating results situation. The previous dividend policy was linked to the consolidated net profit and provided for a payout ratio in a range of 30 – 50%. In order to express the resilience of the business model in terms of dividends, VIG management is for the first time setting the previous year’s dividend as the minimum dividend based on the group’s capital strength. According to the dividend policy decided today, the dividend per share for the 2023 financial year will be at least EUR 1.30. The final dividend proposal will be communicated by management with the preliminary results for 2023.
