Doris Stiksl new managing director of proPellets Austria

Association sets the course for the future

Vienna (OTS) Mag.a Doris Stiksl (55) will take over the management of proPellets Austria in mid-March 2024. The renowned communications and marketing expert, with extensive experience in senior positions within and outside the wood industry, succeeds Christian Rakos, who is retiring. “In Doris Stiksl we have gained a personality who will contribute to strengthening and further developing the association through her expertise and her committed and unifying way of working. Their knowledge of the industry as well as their persistence and perseverance in pursuing sustainable goals will advance both us as an association and the energy transition in Austria.”emphasizes the chairman of the proPellets Austria association Michael Pfeifer. “We are pleased to have won Doris Stiksl for the association.”

Doris Stiksl will be responsible for the strategic direction and further development of the association, which has positioned itself as a leading force for sustainable energy from pellets in Austria over the last 20 years. Comprehensive communication measures and closer cooperation with training centers are intended to increase awareness of the importance of using wood for climate protection and thus help to phase out oil and gas in the area of ​​space heating. Doris Stiksl completed her studies in natural sciences and communication management, supplemented by comprehensive training in organizational development and change management. Stiksl already has 25 years of experience in management positions, including ten years in the wood industry, the last nine years as managing director of proHolz Steiermark. “I am pleased to take on the role of management and to further develop the association together with the team and the soon to be 100 great member companies.”says the Styrian native and is looking forward to her new task.

Through many years of working in the wood value chain, Stiksl has deepened her passion for sustainability, forests and wood. The care and sustainable and climate-friendly management of her own family forest is very important to her. She lives in a wooden house and of course heats with pellets.
