The stars of the Ö3 stage, travel tips from the Ö3 traffic editorial team and “Ask the whole country” on tour
Vienna (OTS) – The best comes last: Hitradio Ö3 provides the crowning finale at the Donauinselfest with Wanda, Alice Merton, Thorsteinn Einarsson, Loi, Ness, Nikotin and Jacob Elias. Gabi Hiller and Philipp Hansa present live on the Ö3 stage. Ö3 has tips for getting to the Danube Island and there are good prospects from the Ö3 weather department: Sunday looks friendly, quite sunny. It’s no longer so extremely hot, but it’s still summery warm, in the afternoon it’s around 28 degrees with a refreshing northerly wind – perfect festival conditions. The chance of a rain splash is low.

Travel tips from the Ö3 transport editorial team
If you are traveling to Vienna for the Danube Island Festival, it is best to use public transport, as there are hardly any parking spaces in the area around the Danube Island. The direct feeder lines U1 (to the “Donauinsel” station) and U6 (to the “Handelskai” or “Neue Donau” station) run every 3 minutes during peak times and then all night long. If you are traveling by car from outside Vienna, it is best to park in one of the “park and ride facilities” on the outskirts of the city, for example in Spittelau, Erdberg, Siebenhirten or at the Donaustadtbrücke. You can change to the subway there. The day parking ticket costs 4 euros and 10 cents. On Sunday, many more people will be heading to the Ernst Happel Stadium for AC/DC’s Ö3 concert. Here too, the Ö3 transport editorial team recommends: Use public transport, the U2 line takes you directly to the stadium, the entry ticket counts as a ticket.
“Ask the Whole Country” on tour
The “Ask the Whole Country” tour continues and stops at the Donauinselfest with a live broadcast. The Radio Phone-in show is currently touring the country – after the school tour, “Ask the Whole Country” is currently on a festival tour and the Danube Island Festival is on the tour schedule on Saturday. Tina Ritschl and Philipp Bergsmann discuss with the Ö3 community: There are many topics that need to be discussed – because hearing other opinions and accepting them is important. Hear on Saturday, June 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Festival feeling via Ö3 and social media
Gabi Hiller and Philipp Hansa will be presenting on the Ö3 stage at the Donauinselfest and will also report live on Ö3 with impressions and exclusive insights behind the scenes (Sunday, June 23rd between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.). The most beautiful festival moments can also be found on the Ö3 social media channels:
