Instead of the specified increase of 3.3% on the KV salary, DM employees will receive at least 3.8% more on their actual salaries from January 1st. There is also an additional salary bonus for employees with lower incomes and apprentices.
As part of the collective bargaining negotiations in retail, the social partners agreed on a two-year financial statement. An increase of 3.3% on the KV minimum salaries was agreed for 2025. The increase at dm, on the other hand, will be at least 3.8% and will not only be credited to the KV minimum salaries, but also to the full actual salaries of dm employees.
“The KV agreement takes into account the situation of individual retailers who are currently facing challenges. In challenging times of inflation, dm has pulled out all the stops to combat it. We achieved this thanks to the commitment of our employees. Since these efforts were rewarded by the customers, we are able to increase salaries at dm beyond the retail KV,” says dm Managing Director Harald Bauer.
Social graduation: Extra increase for income below 2,600 euros gross
dm also enables an additional salary increase for employees with lower incomes and for apprentices: all incomes below 2,600 euros gross are increased by 4.8% instead of 3.8%. The apprentice income at dm is also raised in some cases significantly above the collective agreement. Income increases by 11.6% in the first year of training and by 4.4% in the second and third years of training.
