“The use of the executive on Sunday at the anti -fascist youth camp on the Peršmanhof is shattering in every respect,” says Olga Voglauer, ethnic group spokeswoman for the Greens. Over 30 sometimes heavily armed policeman: inside, a police helicopter, drones and a dog squadron were offered – due to alleged administrative violations according to the Carinthian Nature Conservation Act. There were identity findings, arrests and a house search in the memorial.
“Such a massive contingent on one of the most important memorial sites is not only exaggerated, but also disrespectful – compared to the place, history and young people who deal with anti -fascism, resistance and democracy,” said Voglauer. Particularly disturbing is the accusation of a “immoral approach to the memorial”: “This is an unacceptable mockery of those who have been murdered there – and a dangerous reinterpretation of anti -fascist educational work.”
Lukas Hammer, spokesman for the Greens for memorial policy and right-wing extremism, criticizes a clear imbalance in the security policy dealing of civil society: “It does not seem to be a coincidence that the commitment to the Peršmanhof has gone to the table of the international district captain.
