This year, too, the Lower Austrian employee association (NÖAAB) invited to the traditional member day under the motto “Discover Lower Austria with the Lower Austria”. Lower Austria is a great and beautiful state in which there is a lot to discover: numerous castles, castles, pen and monasteries – to name just a few examples.
The journey of discovery took the participants to Dürnstein in the Wachau. Who does not know him-the picturesque place on the Danube with the blue and white tower of the collegiate church and the ruin Dürnstein, around which King Richard Löwenherz’s legend ranks?
After a hike to the ruins of Dürnstein and subsequent guided tour of the pen, the day found its end in the old castle cellar, where state chairwoman Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister gave an overview of the achievements of the Lower Austria of the past 80 years. Personalities from Siegfried Ludwig to Liese Prokop also remained unmentioned, who made a significant contribution to these improvements for working people in Lower Austria.
It would not be the NÖAAB if he had rested on the laurels of the past decades and so the state chairman confessed over those five demands that were made to the future federal government last autumn and four of which are already being implemented. Furthermore, Teschl-Hofmeister referred to the, in mid-May with the Business Association and VP Landtag Club, presented extensive reform package for the Lower Austrian building code.
“In order to continue to work successfully on a better working world for the top performers in Lower Austria, it is particularly important to think about the future in the anniversary and commemorative year 2025. We are not concerned with a program or solutions to pass on from above to the officials, but to develop and further develop the subject areas. Workers’ Association are invited to think further and to develop our five demands for the future, according to Löaab State Note Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister, who at the same time asked everyone present to deposit their suggestions on the ideas tree they had brought with them.
Katja Seitner, state manager of the NÖAAB adds: “I am not only happy about this historical, exciting and wonderful day with our members, but also about the ideas and suggestions brought in. Because the tenor is clear: Whoever works has to be able to afford more than someone who only lives and does not want to work.
“It is the working people who create value creation and prosperity in our country. Last but not least, our welfare and welfare state is financed. It has to be made to work ‘and, do not go to work more unattractive. The Lower Austrian workers’ association wants to make his contribution again.
