The DIF pulse increases. The construction for the 41st Danube Island Festival is starting now and the first containers are already being delivered to the Danube Island.
Vienna (OTS/SPW) – 700 hours of program, 14 stages and 17 islands on 4.5 island kilometers of festival grounds – this is what the 41st Danube Island Festival brings under the motto #myherzbeatsisland, as always, with free entry. To ensure that everything is in place for the start of Europe’s largest open-air festival on June 21, 2024, around 600 employees are now working on the island. They set up the stages, unload around 230 containers, lay 450 kilometers of cable, connect 250 loudspeakers and 13 video walls and install a sophisticated visitor guidance system with numerous LED tickers, announcement systems and information points. Now the first container has been delivered and made the hearts of the DIF family beat faster.

And again you can see how the work is running, how everyone knows what to do, and how committed everyone is to their work. My thanks already go to all the stage builders, technicians and logisticians, as well as all the partner organizations who make the Danube Island Festival what it is: a festival of cohesion and respectful coexistence in Vienna.”
Partners enter the final preparation phase
Numerous important organizational partners of the Donauinselfest were also there to get in the mood on site: Samaritan Association of Vienna, Police Vienna, Fire Department Vienna, Festival Pastoral Care of the Archdiocese of Vienna and the Evangelical Church, Hallermobil, Full Access (Offers for people with disabilities)MA 48, ARBÖ and – for the first time – Vienna Mobile. The final preparation phase now begins for them too, so that everything runs smoothly at the Danube Island Festival. “In the next few days there will be repeated inspections of the festival site so that the intensive planning of the previous months can now be optimally implemented on site. I would also like to thank all of our partners for their excellent collaboration.”

#dif24 im Hof & Bad
Today there are still 23 days until the Danube Island Festival. Anyone who can’t wait can look forward to their first taste of the Danube Island Festival on the three weekends before the festival. Starting on May 31st, “#dif24 im Hof & Bad” will be coming to Viennese people in selected municipal buildings and pools over three weekends. There is a program, times and locations here.
